Member of the House of Representatives representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Moruf Afuape, popularly known as AFOO, has commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their impressive turnout during the party’s presidential primary election in Ogun State.
Speaking with journalists at Itoko Ward 6 in Abeokuta South Local Government Area, Afuape described the large turnout as a clear demonstration of the growing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the general election.
The lawmaker applauded party faithful and supporters for participating actively in the exercise and reaffirming their commitment to the APC and President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
According to him, the enthusiasm shown by members during the primary election reflected the increasing acceptability of President Tinubu among Nigerians.
He noted that the exercise, which began weeks ago across different wards, has continued to witness remarkable participation from party supporters.
Afuape also appreciated former Ogun State Governor and Senator, Ibikunle Amosun, for participating in the exercise, describing his presence as significant and a positive sign of unity within the APC.
He said Amosun’s attendance at the exercise further demonstrated that President Tinubu enjoys broad support across different political interests in the party.
The federal lawmaker added that many supporters at the venue came out to show solidarity with the President and reaffirm their confidence in his leadership.
Afuape assured party leaders that Ward 6 would deliver one of the highest votes for President Tinubu during the general election, pledging continued mobilization efforts to ensure victory for all APC candidates.
“We will continue to put in our best, and I am assuring everyone that this ward will turn out one of the highest votes in the general election for our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
