2027: Amosun Rallies Support for Tinubu at Ogun APC Presidential Primary

The former Governor of Ogun State, Senator, Ibikunle Amosun, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Amosun made this known on Saturday during the APC presidential primary election held at Ward 6, Itoko, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The former governor stated that party leaders across the country have resolved to support the re-election of President Tinubu, stressing that Nigerians are united behind the President’s second term bid.

He expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise, noting that party faithful turned out massively to demonstrate their support for the President.
According to him, the day was dedicated to reaffirming loyalty to President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Well, you know today is very special. Today is for the President and we all must come out to show and demonstrate that yes, we are for the President, we are for APC, and that’s why I am here.

“You know we have done the one for the governor, so all of us are in sync, we have all taken that position. So, it is just to reaffirm what we have done and that is what happened. Today, all of us in Nigeria, not just this place, every ward in Nigeria is doing this and we have to come here to participate and do our bit too,” he said.

Amosun further commended the turnout of party supporters, describing the exercise as peaceful and orderly.
“I am happy with our people. You can see they are very excited and eager to be part of what is going on. I am satisfied with the process and you could see how the people came out in their numbers. See the crowd on ground; they have come to show support for our President.
“We are orderly and that is what it should be. All of us are speaking with one voice, no dissension. Everybody has agreed that yes, we want our President to return,” he concluded.
